I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree from The College of Wooster and my Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the George Washington University (GWU). During my graduate training, I interned at several community mental health agencies in the Washington, DC area.
Post-master's degree, I began my work as a staff clinician at GWU’s Counseling and Psychological Services center, supporting college students through a range of mental health concerns. I went on to provide therapy in a college-based integrated behavioral health setting, collaborating with counseling, nutrition, and medical providers to deliver coordinated, student-centered care focused on holistic mental health support.
Beyond my clinical work, I bring a strong background in research, teaching, and clinical supervision. Through my ongoing work as a lead and co-researcher, I deepen my understanding of human development, mental health, and evidence-based practice - insights that strengthen the support I offer my clients. I am also dedicated to enriching the field of counseling through teaching and clinical supervision. In my work with students and novice counselors, I strive to foster clinical thinking, professional growth, and a commitment to ethical, client-centered care. These experiences continue to shape my own approach to therapy, keeping my work grounded, reflective, and informed by the evolving needs of the counseling profession.
