My approach to the therapeutic process is inquisitive, supportive, and collaborative. I strive to be conscious of racial and cultural identities, as well as the invisible identities my clients often hold. I recognize that my clients are the experts in their lives. Together, we work through the issues they present.
Because my training was rooted in psychodynamic psychotherapy, I place great emphasis on helping individuals connect current behaviors, thoughts, and emotions to earlier life experiences. Through these connections, my clients gain insight and enhanced tools to move about their daily lives in a healthier, more effective manner.
Many of my clients are people who are in need of a guide. I am someone who views you as a “whole person” with existing strengths that can be built upon. Through our work together I strive to help you grow stronger, more confident, and fulfilled.

Individual Therapy
Individual therapy is a space where focusing on your thoughts, emotions, and needs is encouraged. It may be the only time in your day or week for you to explore (out loud) the thoughts and feelings you might have been holding inside. It's also a place to develop new skills that can be applied to your daily life.
Couples therapy is not a last resort. It can also be a preventative measure. It's a place to improve communication and understanding. It's a space where difficult, contentious conversations can become constructive.
Once you complete the interest form, we will schedule a free 15- minute consultation to review presenting concerns and therapeutic goals. This is also a great opportunity for you to ask questions about my therapeutic style and approach to the issues you may face. You can inquire here.
Should you decide to work with me, we will schedule an intake session. Prior to the intake session, I will send an intake questionnaire and forms for you to complete.
