Frequently Asked Questions

Currently sessions are only offered via a HIPAA-compliant video platform.

Do you offer in-person sessions?

The following questions could be helpful when reaching out to your insurance company:

How do I know if my plan has out-of-network benefits?

I am an “out-of-network” provider, which means I do not work directly with insurance companies. Full payment for services is made to Sarah Litt Therapy.

If your insurance plan has out-of-network benefits, I can provide a “Superbill,” which can be submitted to your insurance provider for reimbursement. Once deductibles are met, many of my clients receive a reimbursement rate of 30-80% per session fee.

Do you accept health insurance?

Please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.

What happens if I have an emergency?

While unexpected issues may arise, I have a 48-hour cancellation policy. As I have reserved the time for you, any cancellations outside the policy window will result in full session charge.

What happens if I need to cancel my appointment?

  • Do I have out-of-network behavioral health (mental health) benefits?
  • Do I need prior authorization in order to submit reimbursement documents?
  • Are there a specific number of sessions my out-of-network benefits cover?
  • What is my annual out-of-network deductible?
  • Have I met that deductible?
